Thai Massage Course

I have started tuesday with my first lesson of the Thai Massage Course I'm following at the Centro del Benessere. It's a basic course but i will be able to perform one full massage after i have finished the course. We are learing the Chang Mai technique, from the North of Thailand. The other existing technique is that of the South, Bangkok's Wat Po.

The origin of the Ancient Thai massage can be traced far back into history to Shivago Komarpaj, the founding father. This unique bodywork incorporates yoga, pressure point and reflexology.
To preserve this ancient art form, past practitioners have scribed medical technique into stones. These inscriptions can be found within the walls of the Wat Po Temple in Bangkok Thailand.
Today, Thai massage helps eliminate stress and muscle tension, thus creating balance and harmony to one's body. Many people have incorporated Thai massage into their preventative health practices and are enjoying its lasting effects.

Thai massage is practised on a Futon mat and is very relaxing for the muscles but most of all will get your energy (prana, ki, chi) in balance. So very good for tired and stressed people. It is a technique which uses Shiatsu principles, acupressure points and streching techniques derived from Yoga. Therefor also called Thai Yoga Massage.

Lago di Como

Not only did we visit the LaChapelle exposition in Milano this weekend, we also went for a "narrow" drive on the coastal road to Lago di Como. With our first visit to Bellagio, after which we took the Ferry (Traghetto) to Cadenabbia on the other side of the Lake. We stayed in Hotel La Perla in Tremezzo with a stunning lakeview room. We had dinner in a little Trattoria in Menaggio, where the Visa Card machine was again broken (really?), in the end it worked!

The next day we visited one of the many Villa's, Villa Carlotta, with a very nice walk in the villa, museum and the Gardens that had lovely lookouts and known for her Rododendron trees. But we more liked the Bamboo Garden!

We headed back along the Lungo Lago through Lenno(Lemon soda and Bruschetta Classica), Cernobbio (Capucino and cafe Lungo)and finally the cathedral of Como(and after pizza con crudo and again Bitter Lemon).

David LaChapelle @ Pallazo Reale

I went to see the David LaChapelle exposition in Palazzo Reale in Milan today with my lovely man Lionel. We spent 2 hours between reality and imagination, with his work he brings you to think about different aspects of our society: destruction, religion, consumerism, plastic surgery and natural beauty etc. I m very impressed with The Last Supper and his latest work: The Deluge. It looks like a Michelangelos painting in the Sixteenth Chapel in Vatican.... Of course he has portraited a lot of famous artists like Madonna, Marilyn Manson, Gwen Stefani, Cher, David Bowie, Tupac, Lil'Kim and many others.

@ Cafe Atlantique

Let the party get started! Yes my friend Prada and I went to the Cafe Atlantique last Friday 28 september. From the Boeing-jet profile on the roof to its nouvelle-baroque interior, where glowing columns look like the inside of a lava lamp, Café Atlantique sets out to silence those who brand Milan as a pale copy of a true metropolis. The place functions as a cocktail bar, restaurant and dance club, with New York-house nights on the first and third Sundays of each month. Except for tonight when the Red Zone was on. In celebration of the MiSex event, we could find 2 girls dancing topless, they supposed to be Pornstars but personaly i wasnt moved about their performance. I far more liked the Lollipops! We had a great evening of twirling and dancing on the dancefloor. We had it goin'.... Made some great friends with the barman, Luca and some other Erasmus students, who are always everywhere in Milan. Just a Quicky for us, but very nice to have had some place for moving around on a spacious dancefloor (is a good thing when you arrive late).
